Every year, Harridan Vodka created a limited edition collection of bottles called Paranormal Reserve.
This year Paranormal Reserve (2022) is a collection of 666 bottles. Each was rested in the Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, which holds the personal collection of Ed and Lorraine Warren – renowned demonologists and paranormal investigators. The Museum is now closed to the public, but was opened for this limited edition Reserve.
This is one of my favorite projects of all time and I had the immense pleasure of concepting and designing the label for the bottle and the custom box it comes in.
Paranormal Reserve has now become a collectors item and occult enthusiasts across the world anxiously await this coveted and unique product.
Ouija-Inspired
The label design we finally landed on is inspired by ouija board graphics. As part of the packaging concept we created a custom box that functions as an actual ouija board, complete with a Harridan branded planchette. As for the label itself, we went over the top with the details; hand-drawn graphics in red foil, details in glossy uv ink, all this over premium textured paper.
Rested in the Occult Museum
666 Paranormal Reserve bottles were rested within the Warren’s Occult Museum. Bottle #666 was rested inside of the famed doll Annabelle’s protective case. A replica of Annabelle's case was built to house bottle 666, and was auctioned off for $13,000 USD.
This edition of Paranormal Reserve was truly haunted!
