Every year, Harridan Vodka creates a limited edition collection of bottles called The Paranormal Reserve.
This year's Paranormal Reserve (2023) is a collection of 365 bottles. The bottles were rested in either the Anderson Hotel, or the Crescent Hotel, both famously haunted hotels in the USA.
The concept for this year's Paranormal Reserve was Art Deco Haunted Hotels. We integrated easter eggs in the gold foil label, and used an Art Deco inspired font for the graphics. The box is designed as a hotel drawer, and contains a custom designed notepad—similar to the ones you would have in a hotel room—as well as a keychain with the hotel brand.
Paranormal Reserve has now become a collectors item and occult enthusiasts across the world anxiously await this coveted and unique product.
Haunted Hotels of Old
The label design we finally landed on is inspired by the golden era of fancy old hotels, antique elevator doors, and elaborate graphics. As part of the packaging concept we created a custom box that functions as a drawer, complete with a custom designed notepad.
As for the label itself, we went over the top with the details; hand-drawn graphics in gold foil, details in glossy uv ink, all this over premium textured black paper. In this edition, we also designed a monogram of the Harridan Paranormal Reserve (HPR) and included a neck tag for the bottle.
The final easter egg in the label is the integration of the Harridan Sigil I designed as a protection and prosperity token for the brand.
Rested in the Crescent & Anderson Haunted Hotels
This limited edition collection of Harridan Vodka was rested for one month in two of America’s most haunted hotels: the Anderson Hotel in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Consisting of 350 hand-numbered bottles split evenly between the two locations.
The Paranormal Reserve is one of the coolest and most interesting projects, I’m honored to be able to help the team at Harridan Vodka bring their witchy and occult ideas to life.
