Towards the end of 2022 I received an email from Gabe Rubin from Curious & Co. inquiring about my tarot illustrations, they were in the process of redesigning their website and were looking for an illustrator who specialized in esoteric, occult, and magical themes.
They came to the right person! I happily accepted and we started collaborating on the illustrations for their team. I created a custom questionnaire for the teammates, and started a style discovery process to define the illustration direction. We landed on a bright colorful style that is heavily inspired by the Raider-Waite decks, infused with the look and feel of the Curious & Co. brand. A while after delivering the team illustrations, I checked back in on their website and I was speechless, they had animated the card deck and the whole site looked absolutely spectacular.
