Farming never looked so cool! Liza & Jairo, founders of Hacienda Zaragoza, have created a beautiful and aesthetic farm where they produce raw milk, cheese and harvest honey. We created a brand that could be classy and rugged ranch-style at the same time.

Hacienda Zaragoza is a beautiful farm in the mountains above Nosara, Costa Rica. It’s located at the heart of Zaragoza, so we couldn’t help naming the brand to honor this beautiful location.

This ranch is an eco farm and apiary for now, but eventually there will be a general store, a café, and so much more! We needed to design a brand that could not only reflect what it is currently, but what it will come to be in the future. The style is classic ranch, with a modern twist, and the color palette is farm-inspired (mud and dust abounds), and is also inspired by café negro, which is cultivated here in abundance.

I’ve been working with Liza for years now, it’s always so much fun to design, play, and explore different brand possibilities! From naming to branding, photography to packaging, there’s always something fun to do.
