As Harmony Projects continues to grow and innovate across different industries within the Nosara community, they found the need to have a one-stop grocery shop, making it easy for people to buy food and products that have been carefully prepared and responsibly sourced to benefit the health of people and planet.
I’ve been working alongside Harmony Projects for quite some time (take a look at Taller Toc Toc), and it was a pleasure as always to ideate and design the brand identity for Roota.
Local y Orgánico
The brand markers and elements are designed to look sophisticated, yet down-to-earth. It's vibrant and earthy, inspired by the raw materials and beautiful textures Roota works with.
Paleta Culinaria
The Roota brand colors are bright and flavorful, inspired by the vibrant array of colors found in the fresh produce and delicious ingredients used in their market and kitchen.
I have a long rolling history with the Harmony Projects, when my family first migrated to Nosara, we stayed at the Hotel Villa Taipei where I spent most of my time playing in the pool. The hotel was purchased by the Johnson family, and became the Harmony Hotel. Since then, Harmony has become a vibrant business that empowers locals, the environment, and artists.
It has been a privilege and an honor to work alongside the Harmony Projects team for so many years. From Brand projects like Taller Toc Toc and Roota, to collateral design for the Harmony Hotel, and even teaching art workshops at Campo, I’ve felt like part of the Harmony family all along.
