The Tarot Goddess card deck is a personal project I created as part of the 36 Days Of Type challenge. I wanted to create a beautiful illustrated series inspired by Tarot cards and goddesses of the world.
Each card was designed and illustrated digitally, using Procreate + iPad Pro. The color palette is insired by the traditional Tarot decks, and the use of lines that simulate manual ink drawings. The cover and box design is inspired by art deco books and ornamental designs.
I had so much fun illustrating these! It would be amazing print out a couple of limited edition sets of these.
Power to the Goddess
The divine feminine! Inspired by female goddesses from around the world. The cards are graphically inspired by classic tarot decks such as Rider-Waite, and antique illuminated icons. The goddesses of the world deserve a prominent space in the world.
Learning about each goddess was humbling and empowering. The divine feminine power is supple yet fierce, gentle yet stern.
These goddesses are mothers, creators, destroyers, artists, caregivers, peacemakers, and harridans.
